Ammonite

Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusks. Their fossilized shells usually take the form of planispirals, although there were some helically spiraled and nonspiraled forms (known as heteromorphs). The name 'ammonite', from which the scientific term is derived, was inspired by the spiral shape of their fossilized shells, which somewhat resemble tightly coiled rams' horns. The ancient Egyptians and Romans incorporated ammonites into their mythology, seeing them as sacred objects.

In metaphysical practices, ammonites are often used for their perceived healing properties and are seen as powerful earth healing fossils. They are believed to bring stability and order to life, and are often used for activating life path energies.

The spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Some practitioners believe the ammonite absorbs cosmic energy over eons and stimulates the life force (Chi) within.

Ammonites are also often associated with prosperity, success, and wealth, and are believed to attract abundance.
